How the new Godox ML60II Bi models differ from the Previous models (the Godox ML60 and the Godox ML60Bi)

To everyone's happiness, Godox announced the new led video light- Godox ML60IIBI- at the end of last month, 2023. That means the Godox ML60-led light lineup now consists of the ML60II Bi, Godox ML60Bi, and Godox ML60. The Godox ML60IIBi  won't be available until the following year. Every LED video light in the Godox ML60 comes with a small size and portable design, which allows photographers to carry it easily. Meanwhile, the bi-color LED video light- the Godox ML60Bi and the Godox ML60IIBi come equipped with a bi-color feature.

Design and Size

Let's talk about their size first. There is no significant difference in terms of dimension and size. These three Godox ML60 lineups are portable and compact. The Godox ML60IIBi  is measured by 3. 46 "*3.62 "*4.38" and weighs 526g. Meanwhile, the Godox ML60 is 5.7 x 3.5 x 3.5" and weighs 770g, and the Godox ML60Bi goes for 5.7 x 3.5 x 3.5" and its weights is 770g.

Output and CRI

Regarding output power, this brand-new Godox ML60IIBi maxs up to 70w, while there are max-ups of 60w and 60w found on the Godox ML60Bi and Godox ML60. In contrast, the Godox ML60IIBi  is equipped with an extra 10ws over its previous models, but it is not a substantial improvement to the Godox ML60 lineup. Speaking of color to the Godox video-led light, every Godox-led video light in Godox ML60lineup features an Average of≥96, allowing for color accuracy and rendering.

Color Temperature and Power Option

In addition to output and CRI, the Godox ML60Bi and the Godox ML60IIBi share the same color temperature of 2800-6500K, and the Godox ML60 is equipped with 5600K±200K. Theoretically, the Godox ML60Bi and the Godox ML60IIBi  allow for more flexibility and let users adjust the light to various color temperature settings within that range. The Godox ML60 provides a more precise and consistent color temperature for specific situations, such as replicating daylight.

In terms of power options, the Godox ML60, as the early model, could be powered by either the included mains power adapter or via 2x NP-F Series (Sony L-Series) batteries. The Godox ML60Bi and the Godox ML60IIBi are also powered by the same method as the Godox ML60.

Accessories and Creativity

Unsurprisingly, accessories or modifiers are essential for every Godox video LED light. These accessories(such as soft-box, color gels, and barn doors) allow creative shooting and adaptation to different shooting situations. The Godox ML60IIBi  could be paired with MLP projection, its class-leading lens system for unleashing your creativity.

Regarding dynamic FX effects, the Godox ML60IIBi  comes with 11 emotional FX effects. In contrast, the Godox ML60 and the Godox ML60Bi are equipped with 8 and 7 preset FX effects, respectively. The Godox ML60Bi II offers more options to users for creative lighting.

Software

Finally, regarding software, the Godox ML60 and Godox ML60Bi and theGodox ML60IIBi  with Godox App seem to need a more significant update to surprise users. The Godox app remains visible and easy to use. You could use the app to control the light or control the light directly using the screen of the LED video light.
